I thought this recent news story was worthy of comment: Dentist Threatens to Sue Patient Over Negative Yelp Review

Do you think it is ethical to try to muzzle guests/clients/patients/customers by making them sign forms promising not to disclose bad experiences.

My view is the court will find these kinds of forms null and void. Are they not equivalent to posting a sign that says “Not responsible for damage incurred…”? Or to take it one step further, the same as wearing a sign that says I am not responsible for stealing as you proceed to go shoplifting?

Just because you post a disclaimer does not free you from responsibility. I’d love to hear your views on this.
